I am totally hooked on Pure Pilates!  The atmosphere is wonderfully zen, and I’m so impressed with every single trainer I’ve had!  It seems they know just how much to push you, and they make you feel comfortable enough to ask them for clarification on the exercises.

I started about 4 months ago with private sessions and decided to start taking classes.  They’re tough, and that’s a good thing!  You will definately get your money’s worth if you’re willing to put in the work.

I have seen a big difference in my body shape.  When the kids got out of school for the summer, I couldn’t get into the studio for nearly 3 weeks, and I felt a big difference when I first went back.

The strength I’ve been able to build feels great!  The reformer is SOOOOO much more fulfilling than mat classes!

I highly rrecommend Pure Pilates!  It’s fabulous!

Heather began practicing Pilates 8 years ago after the birth of her first child.  Within a year she knew this was something she would pursue as a career.  She is trained in the Body Arts and Science method of Pilates.  She has been teaching for over 5 years and last year completed her certification in pre and post-natal Pilates and pelvic floor rehabilitation with Jennifer Gianni of Fusion Pilates and the Long Beach Dance and Conditioning Center.  Pilates is a passion for Heather that she hopes to ignite in those around her.  In her former life, she was a chef and lived in Paris for a time working in a Boulangerie.  In her spare time she now teaches culinary arts for the Regional Occupational Program and spends time with her husband and two children

I am a 55 year-old who plays tennis 4-5 days a week on many competitive leagues.  I had herniated two disks in my back and was out for almost a year. I wasn’t sure if I would ever get back to playing tennis.  My physical therapist suggested that I try Pilates.  I have now been going to Pure Pilates for about one year and I am back to playing tennis regularly.  I have found Pilates to be the "magic bullet" that allows me to be active and feel great.   After playing tennis, I am usually stiff and sore, but I have found that a Pilates class always makes me feel loose and flexible again, and takes away the soreness from tennis.  The instructors are always very responsive to my various injuries (shoulder, knee and back) and always have good suggestions for modifications that allow me to perform the exercises without injuring myself further. I will probably always be going to Pilates classes, because it allows me to do all the other sports in my life that I love.  I am so happy that I found these classes and I have recommended them to my friends as well.

Sincerely,

    Laurie R.

I absolutely love every class! I enjoy  ‘Zoe’ very much. I had her for a one on one awhile back, no one else showed up -
It was just us! I throughly enjoyed my time with her… (and) Rachel very, very, very MUCH! I love Pure Pilates!

Im hooked! I am trying to be very dedicated to my classes along with eating a healthy diet and really hoping to see some changes.
I am seeing
changes, clothes feeling alittle looser and over all body feeling ‘much’ stronger, it’s just of course along with my age..
Not happening as fast as I had hoped.. but I am seeing results.. I’m just going to have to be patient and I will get there!
My MOTO is by 48.. I’ll be in SHAPE!

I’ve shared this with all of my friends and family besides thinking about it ever since last Wednesday. I’m not one for waiting for the next open machine while multiple televisions scroll the latest programs. I found that out when my husband purchased a membership so I could join him at our local gym. I really wanted to embrace it, but more and more I found myself looking for excuses not to go. It always felt so crowded and stressful. Recently a friend of mine tried pilates and said she loved it. She recommended that I try it, too — the Ladera Ranch studio just happens to be right by my husbands’ gym. I had a private session this past week with Rachael Arus and I feel like I’ve finally found what I didn’t know I was looking for.

It was terrific. Rachael was so patient and encouraging that I can’t wait to go again. The atmosphere is fantastic and the studio is beautiful. I came home that night and decided that I am going to commit to that experience twice a week . Rather than thinking up new excuses, I’m looking forward to feeling that good on a regular basis …

I’ve always wanted to try pilates, but just never had the time or the opportunity or the momentum to get me in there.  After paying for months of virtually unused gym membership, never seeing any real results, and being completely unmotivated,  I considered getting a personal trainer.  Having recently turned 40 and having 2 children, I really wanted to work on me and getting myself into shape…but I wanted to see some actual results.  Knowing that Pure Pilates was just around the corner, I decided to drop the gym membership and try a pilates class.  I love pilates!!!  After just one month, I have seen real results.  And so has my husband.  I am feeling really good in a bikini, which I had just about given up on.  My abs have always been a weak area for me, and I was looking forward to the core training that pilates had to offer.  Little did I know that the first place I would see results was in my arms.  Pilates is a complete body workout.  I look forward to all of my pilates classes (even at 6:00 AM) and I love the instructors.  I am motivated, feeling great and looking forward to the results that the next couple of months bring my way.

I started Pilates over a year ago on the recommendation of a friend.  She ensured me that it would be life changing.  I have to say that she was right.  Pilates helped me lose an extra 13 pounds and create a longer, leaner muscle structure.  I’m stronger and more fit than I’ve ever been.  My problem area has always been my lower body.  I’m athletically built and no amount of weight training or cardio has been able to achieve the changes I desired.  Pilates did exactly what I wanted.  With a great deal of commitment (I usually take 3 classes per week), I’ve been able to change the shape of my lower body and achieve a leaner figure overall.  Thanks to Amy and her team of wonderful instructors, I have found the fitness program for life.  My husband has noticed such a difference that he asks me to keep up with the Pilates!!  Now that is a complement!!!
